FAQs

    • No. Florida allows direct access to Physical Therapy without approval by a Physician for 30 days.

    • If the plan of care is going to extend beyond 30 days, we will reach out to your physician’s office to request a sign-off on your plan of care so that we can continue working beyond the direct access period.

    • No. Being an out-of-network provider allows us to provide our high quality, one-on-one care with exceptional attention to details and no interference from your insurance company. However, that doesn’t mean our services won’t be covered, at least in part, by your insurance.

    • In-network providers are typically at the mercy of insurance companies who often restrict the number of sessions patients are allowed as well as the services they can receive.

    • We find that most patients get better, faster with us because of our ability to provide one-on-one care. This means fewer trips to the clinic and often less total money spent when accounting for the co-payments associated with each visit to an in-network provider.

    • We will also provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement as most patients with out-of-network benefits will receive reimbursement from their insurance company.

  • Yes! We accept HSA or FSA payments.

    • This can vary greatly from case to case, making it difficult to determine how many sessions someone will likely require prior to completing a full evaluation in the clinic.

    • We will be sure to give you an estimate of how many sessions we expect it to take to achieve your goals at the end of your evaluation appointment.

    • Depending on everyone’s unique financial circumstances and time availability, we are happy to come up with a plan that works best for each patient even if it differs from our expected or recommended visit plan.

    • No. We do not take cases involving worker’s compensation or motor vehicle collision claims.

    • We do accept work-related injuries or motor vehicle collision-related injuries as long as they are not being processed through worker’s compensation or motor vehicle collision claims.

  • No. We do not take Medicare or any other supplemental insurances to Medicare.

    • Clinics that bill through insurance are heavily impacted by the complicated process of receiving reimbursement from insurances.

    • Insurance-based clinics are typically forced to treat at least 2-3 patients simultaneously because of the low reimbursement rates from insurance companies. At Cross the Line, we are able to guarantee that you will spend your entire session, one-on-one, with a Doctor of Physical Therapy and never be passed off to an assistant or Physical Therapy Tech.

    • Our patients typically reach their goals and are done with Physical Therapy in significantly fewer visits than at insurance-based clinics because we have the time to focus exclusively on you and your needs for the entirety of each session. This often results in similar or lower total out-of-pocket cost for a plan of care at Cross the Line when considering for co-payments or co-insurance payments due at each visit at an insurance-based clinic.

    • Insurance companies also restrict which treatments clinics can bill for. This means that patients at insurance-based clinics may not always receive necessary treatments because the clinic doesn’t get reimbursed for them. At Cross The Line, we can utilize whichever treatment options are most optimal for each individual patient without any extra charge beyond the standard cost of each visit.

  • We work with anyone who is motivated to feel their best and strive for their health-related, performance-related, or lifestyle goals.

  • Yes! We have extensive experience working with patients during their post-operative recoveries following countless surgeries. From athletes who need a surgery to get back to playing their sport to adults after a joint replacement surgery, we can help!

    • We often work with college students who were going to Physical Therapy at school while they are back home in Orlando to bridge the gap in their care until they return to school (or students in Orlando who were getting Physical Therapy back home before coming back to school).

    • We prefer not to treat patients who are simultaneously being treated at a different Physical Therapy clinic. However, if you plan on discontinuing your care at another clinic whether it be due to changes in insurance coverage, location, or any other reason, we are happy to take over your care and help you work towards achieving your goals.
